A 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network&#xA0;connection is needed for two reasons.&#xA0;1. To download new Birde Seeds and/or Tap and Play Books.2. To pair your Birde Player to a&#xA0;<a href="https://birde-co-r8aqcppqujl.gorgias.help/en-US/how-to-connect-your-birde-to-your-smart-tv-203061" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">compatible smart TV</a>.&#xA0;Once a Seed or Book&apos;s digital content has been downloaded, your Birde Player does not need to be connected to Wi-Fi for play. This makes Birde Players portable and ready to take on many adventures.&#xA0;If you don&apos;t have home Wi-Fi,&#xA0;you can download new Seeds or Books to your Birde Player by using a Wi-Fi hotspot.
